Creation of multi-spaced runescape usernames was made available in 2001. Some would say it was a bug in account creation system, others might say it was an intended feature. Whichever it was, multi spaced usernames were allowed in Runescape for quite a few years. Only in late 2004, when players used these usernames to avoid being reported while scamming, Jagex placed letter spacing restriction (only one space allowed).
Advantages of multi-spaced usernames, despite the fact that they look sick:
- 10 spaced names are as rare as 2 letter names. They both have the same letter/number combinations and they all have been taken in 2001.
- Deception. Multi-spaced names are hard to look up in the high scores. Spammers/stalkers would have a hard time adding you to their friend list.
- Future usage. New game updates bring countless ways for multi-spaced names to become more useful: new minigames, new pvp changes. With such rare and forbidden name you will never go wrong!
9-10 spaced names

Rare, multi-spaced Runescape usernames with 9-10 spaces in a single name. 10 is the maximum number of spaces allowed in name. Runescape username can hold a maximum of 12 characters, therefore these usernames can only start and end with just a single character.

More random usernames varying from 3 to 8 spaces in name. These names are in fact multi-spaced short words. They are the cheapest usernames in its class due to the high number of names still being active in Runescape.
The fact alone that registration of such usernames if forbidden makes them rare and demanded.
